Khandava is an independent online general store based in rural New Mexico, curating a carefully chosen mix of jewelry, natural health and beauty products, sustainable housewares, and alternative clothing — selected with an eye toward punk aesthetics, ecological responsibility, or mindful living. Several products are handmade by me.
WHAT WE SELL
Handmade & Reclaimed Jewelry — Our original jewelry is handcrafted from upcycled and reclaimed materials whenever possible, including salvaged gemstones, vintage metals, and repurposed components. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. We also carry curated vintage jewelry, and items from shops we love.
Health & Beauty — Herbal remedies, supplements, natural body care, facial care, and low-tox makeup for people who read ingredient labels.
Housewares — Candles, incense, art, bedding, decor, pour-over coffee gear, film cameras, stickers, postcards, and more — sourced from small producers who share our values.
Clothing — Tops, bottoms, and socks with alternative sensibilities, featuring organic and natural fabrics.
WHY SO MANY SALE PRICES?
You may notice that Khandava carries a significant number of sale and discounted items. This isn't a clearance gimmick or a pricing trick, it's a deliberate part of how we source.
We're able to acquire limited quantities of products at a discount because those products would otherwise end up in the waste stream. This includes overstock from small producers, short-run items that didn't make it to or sell through traditional retail channels, and end-of-line goods that have nowhere to go. Rather than let perfectly good merchandise be destroyed or sent to the landfill (which is more common in retail than most people realize), we step in, acquire what we can, and pass those savings directly on to you.
This means our inventory changes frequently and quantities are genuinely limited — when something's gone, it's gone. It also means that the sale prices you see aren't manufactured urgency. They reflect real cost savings from sourcing products that would otherwise be wasted.
Most discounted items at Khandava are products rescued from the waste stream — not a markdown scheme. Shopping the sale section is one of the most sustainable choices you can make as a consumer.

We reuse and repurpose packaging materials, make jewelry from reclaimed and upcycled components, and often partner with small producers vetted for eco-conscious practices, fair labor, and low-waste production. We also sell merchandise from local craftspeople in our physical store.
